The problem.
Matching people who need a job done with people nearby who can do it needs three hard things at once: location, trust and a conversation. It also has to run on the wide range of Android phones in South Africa, not just the newest iPhone.
The plan.
In the order we did it.

Build one app for iOS and Android in Flutter, so both platforms ship from one codebase.

Use location search on Google Maps to match jobs and workers by area.

Run accounts, listings and in-app messaging on Firebase for real-time updates without a heavy backend.

Keep the app light and forgiving of patchy connections.
